Acharaya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital (ASCOMS)
ASCOMS is the first private Medical College in Jammu & Kashmir with an annual intake of 100 students in MBBS & 22 students in Post Graduation Courses

- Pre-Clinical Departments - Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry
- Para-Clinical Departments - Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine & Community Medicine
- Clinical Departments - Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gyanecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Skin & STD, Urology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Anaesthesia, Neuro-Surgery, Cardiology, C.V.T.S., Radio-Diagnosis & Imaging, Dentistry& Chest Diseases
These departments are manned by highly qualified team of doctors drawn from different parts of the State and the Country. At present there are 108 Specialists working in different departments assisted by about 100 Senior and Junior Resident Doctors and Tutors.
The Medical faculty in all the departments has been appointed in accordance with guidelines of the Medical Council of India to support the clinical departments in Investigations, advanced Pathological, Biochemistry and Microbiological Laboratory facilities with Blood Bank have been established.
List of Courses:
- Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)
- The course extends over a period of 4.5 years plus one year compulsory Internship required for the MBBS Degree
- Post Graduate Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MD)
Student Intake:
- 100 per year for the Under Graduate MBBS course
- 22 per year for Post Graduate MD course
Recognition/Affiliation:
- ASCOMS is recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on the recommendations of Medical Council of India.
- ASCOMS is affiliated to the University of Jammu which is also the examining body of the programmes offered by the college
Lakshmi Bai Batra College of Nursing
In 1988, Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre setup Lakshmi Bai Batra School of Nursing (LBB College of Nursing) to offer General Nursing & Midwifery Diploma programme duly recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC). LBB College of Nursing was upgraded to collegiate Programme of B.Sc(Hons) Nursing of 4 years duration in the year 2004 which is affiliated to G.G.S. Indraprastha University and recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Delhi Nursing Council (DNC).

- LBB College of Nursing takes its pride to be the first College of Nursing in Private Sector in Delhi as well as of G.G.S Indraprastha University offering Bachelor of Science (Hons) in nursing 4 year duration professional degree programme
Faculty:
- LBB College of Nursing has qualified and experienced full time nursing faculty which provides the right mix of theoretical inputs and practical/clinical experience
- College also engages external/visiting faculty for other allied courses
- The faculty is well supported by efficient technical and secretarial staff

LBB College of Nursing is a unitary 4 storied building comprising with the following infrastructure.
- Lecture Halls – Well equipped with latest books in all nursing and allied subjects and also the journals both national and international
- Laboratories – 5 Laboratories for Fundamentals of Nursing, Nutrition Biochemistry & Microbiology, M.C.H. & C.H. Nursing

- A.V. Aids Lab. – Well equipped with A.V. and other teaching Aids
- Hostel – Well furnished hostel to accommodate 100 students
